The study was conducted among the pharmacy students of JDT Islam College of Pharmacy. Self-medication is common in both developed and developing countries but higher in developing countries, due to wider increase of drug availability without prescription Self-medication increases the possibility of drug abuse and drug dependency. Cross sectional study was conducted to analyze the pharmacy student knowledge, attitude, practice of self-medication with antibiotics. A pre-validated structured questionnaire comprising of 20 questions were distributed among 248 Pharmacy students of JDT Islam College of Pharmacy from first year to final year. The questionnaire included the structured panels such as knowledge about antibiotic, their indication, side-effect, behavior, attitude about risk of self-medication with antibiotic, prevalence and reason for self-medication. From the survey reports, knowledge on the dosage form was obtained from the previous doctor’s prescription (35%), this knowledge not always will be curative in all disease condition. From this report it is clear that majority of the students (60%) are of the opinion that self-medication with antibiotic is not acceptable practice.
